Cezi is a form of character divination that has long been practiced in China, known in English as literomancy. The person seeking a reading presents a single Chinese character—often a character from their name or whatever character comes to mind—and the diviner breaks that character apart into elements such as its radical, phonetic component, and stroke count, then reconstructs and interprets its meaning.
