What is Oracle Cards?
Oracle cards are a modern practice, widespread in the West since the latter half of the 20th century, in which one draws one or a few cards at random from a deck of message cards that follows no fixed system, and receives the words or imagery on the card as an answer to a question.

Origins & History
Oracle cards are a practice in which, unlike tarot with its fixed number of cards and system, each deck has its own theme and set of messages that are drawn to receive an answer. It is a relatively new, modern form of divination that spread across the West from the latter half of the 20th century onward, and is treated as a modern creation rather than a traditional omen-reading practice.

What It Reveals
Oracle cards are well suited to receiving brief, encouraging insight for guidance in life, love, or work. Because they lack the detailed symbolic system of tarot, they are not designed to precisely untangle complex circumstances, and are more often used as a prompt for settling one’s feelings.
